bird buddy

This is my "little" buddy who lives at a house where I clean the windows. He's not much of a talker (more a squawker) but he does have one trick where he hangs from his beak and then extends a claw through the cage to 'shake' your hand. He is a Hyacinth Macaw, which is the largest of the flying parrots. He has a wingspan of almost 4 feet and he is over 3 feet long. He also has a beak that is powerful enough to easily break open coconuts and cut steel bars so it is kind of a bit scary to let such a big bird hold your finger. Additional info and pics here

Stupid canadian pigeon...

Yep...pretty disgusting. While minding my own business and taking a little break from shopping in Montreal...sitting on a ledge outside a store, a crazed canadian racing pigeon dropped a bomb on my knee. One of the employees notified us that said pigeons nail 5-10 people PER DAY in front of the store! Is it too much to ask to post a warning sign or something?!?!

We took this pic on the way back from Michigan near Shipshewana.

I wonder if telling chicks that you drive the weiner mobile for Oscar Myer is a plus or minus? If you put it on your resume, would that guarantee that you won't get the job, or does it inspire confidence that you can handle embarrasing tasks? How big do you figure the gas tank is on this thing... like, does the weiner serve as a giant reserve too or is that just sleeping quarters for the 'lucky' driver?

AMERICA!!!

Saw this guy on the way to Michigan one day. Not only is he toting a large American flag, his entire bike is painted the same way. Keep in mind that it's 45 and raining outside. Talk about patriotism :)

Mmmmm... there is nothing like a delicious hot-possum sandwich on a cold day, eh?
This excellent picture is one of my all time favorites. Amy's brother-in-law (Mitch) is demonstrating the proper technique for eating a sandwich such as this. This pic was actually made by Amy's sister in reply to a little 'contest' we were having in which the purpose was to send ridiculous pics to each other.
They obviously won!

while cleaning windows at a house i noticed a strange pet looking at me through the window. it seems that the owner received this 'little' piggy as a joke gift many years ago.  nice piggy!
