Specimen #1 was found clinging to some jeans in our old washer. We had left the lid open overnight to soak some clothes and this guy fell in and spent the night soaked in cold water. I grabbed him using some leather gloves and snapped this pic before driving him way down the road to release him (I figured he had suffered enough)
Specimen #2 is one for close examination and was found on a customer's porch. How it got there and why only the outer layer of skin is gone (revealing it's tiny innards) is curious indeed. It will be interesting to see if it is still there in August when I go back!
Specimen #3 would leave a CSI team perplexed! This mouse has been squished in this garage door at Menards Illinois Rd for over 5 years!!! In fact it has become rather infamous and customers often bring new friends to gaze upon the macabe tableau. How did it get this way and how has it remained so intact we may never know. Feel free to speculate!
HOWDY FRIENDS!

Hey Whole Foods... check this out!
Finally I got a photo that is worthy of the "YOU SEE THAT?!" blog. After some mid-afternoon showers rolled through Atlanta and I got this. Sure would be nice if the Whole Foods folks saw this and it meant something to them. I can see the ad copy now... "At the end of the rainbow... you'll find us - Whole Foods" We could go on, but I won't. In your comments I'd love to hear your ad copy.

Not meant to gross you out, but...
I won the first medal of the Winter Olympics with the passage of this monster and his little friend. My recommendation... do not try this at home!!!
I repeat... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

No pic, but...
I saw something interesting at Meijer yesterday that I have never noticed before. They sell dry ice in a cooler next to the regular ice! Did you know that? And the manufacturer/distributor/whatever you call it IS...drum roll please... Pain, Inc. Really?
I was going to take a pic of the cooler but there was an employee standing over it wiping it down. Maybe on my next trip there, I will be able to take one!

Land of Ice - II

Not sure what type of tree this is (first pic) but most of them in our subdivision look like this after the ice got a hold of them...
The second pic is one of my neighbor's trees.
