Amish Rebels

Um, would this be considered the luxury pickup truck of Amish world?
No cars allowed but seats from cars are just fine? I dunno, but these
two rebels will surely 'burn in hell' for this!

Careful what you buy in Ohio

You may think this is about high gas prices, but look closer. I've tried peanut, almond, even pretzel M&M's. But STD.... think I'll pass on those.

Porno for Porki?

Im not really sure who this calendar is supposed to be marketed to... Is this a sexy calendar for pigs or have the bad guys from the 'Deliverance' movie really been neglected in the wall calendar market?

Im not as think as you drunk I am

This specimen of "poor decision making skills" drove BOTH his/her tires until shredded off and obviously destroyed both rims as well. But to their credit they managed to get it parked nice and straight so I would bet it was a guy 'cause some girls can't park a vehicle straight using all four tires while stone-sober! =P

Firemen have all the fun

I saw this curious scene near the 14/69 interchange about a month ago. They shot this giant stream of water into the air for about an hour! I'm guessing the truck laddder is at least 30 feet long so that makes the water over 100 feet high?
So in my imagination here is the conversation at the firehouse:
"I'm bored, whatcha wanna do today?"
"Iknow! How about we go waste thousands of gallons of water and see how high we can shoot our stream!?"
"Cool, let's go where everyone can see us do it so that chicks are impressed"

Spend Wisely Grasshopper!

In these tough economic times you need to make the wisest finacial decisions possible. Apparently in Columbia City that decision maybe to finance your tattoo instead of paying cash. Please consult your CFP before making your decision.

manger madness

this nativity scene is on main street Busco and we always get a kick out of it each year. you'll wanna zoom in to see all the wonderful details which include:

  • 3 giant wise men who are double the size of joseph and mary
  • everyone is tied to trees and stakes with bungie cords
  • a rotweiler sitting beside the tiny little cow
  • some sort of stone nymph hovering behind baby jesus

wow what a tribute to our King!

It can only be beat by the mother of all nativity scenes we saw in Ecuador!:

Return of the ta- tas

Because, honestly, they're much more worthy of saving than the rain forest, or the whales, or the ozone layer.

I <3 plus-size propaganda.

dog gone funny (not)

  • Yes, this is a real dog.
  • Yes, this truck is doin 55 mph on the highway.
  • No, this dog is not tied or attached to the truck in any way.
  • Yes, this dog could fly off if the farmer hit the brakes very hard.
  • Yes, this is a good way to lose a dog

But it was pretty cool to see!

    HWY 33 is a goldmine

All of these gems were all within a 10 mile stretch of Hwy 33 just north of Busco

what a classy place! (zoom in to see small sign on door too)

I thought maybe this was the result of a prank but it was on both sides of the sign and was still there 8 hours later so... maybe it's the mechanics name?

and this classic is one of the most disturbing pieces of Americana I've ever seen... I'm willing to pay someone to get a massage here just to see what happens! click the pic and use zoom button to see all the details

    Self-Explanatory

Certain items can only be found at a county fair.... especially in Tennessee. Let me know if ya want one shipped to ya!

My friend Josh Nichols took this photo while we were working seldom worked territory in a small town - TN. Notice the sticker on the window behind the large fellow...I don't know for sure, but I don't think he's enjoying the field trip!

The highly coveted "sherman street rooster"

"Here they come to snuff the rooster...ahhh...yeah"

I thought I would just get that out of the way for you AIC fans. Many have remarked that they would like to have a five foot tall iron rooster on their property. Some have even expressed a desire to steal said rooster. Is the rooster a giant scarecrow? Yet there are no crops. Is the rooster supposed to ward off evil spirits? Who knows. If you'd like to get a close up just drive down Sherman Street south of State Street and on the corner of Sherman and Putnam you will see the rooster in all his rusting glory!

Is this how GM is using the bailout?

I had to wonder if this might be a new prototype truck from GM.
Or you could view it as a testament to the durability of their trucks

    Roadtrip to Nashville

On the way down we couldn't help but buy this 'lovely' plastic "Jewellery" from a gas station.

There are so many reasons to love this high quality product from China but Jordan loved the misspellings on the package, I loved the random cartoon characters, and Amy loved the hair clip:

In Nashville, the weather was awesome so we went to Love Circle which is a little hill where you can get a good overlook of the city skyline. We realized quickly how the hill got his name---yikes, I'd hate to see this place at night!!!
This scene looks innocent enough until you ZOOM IN

This scene was happening at the same time as the other one!
