Topless at the Bank!?!

ok so the pic does not convey the back hair, gray chest hair, or beer belly but would you want to stand next to this guy in line at your bank?!?
According to someone who works there, he regularly comes in shirtless even in the dead of winter... Supposedly he has a disorder that requires him to be topless. Yikes.

as part of our ongoing insect theme we found this bad boy in the yard. talk about a hefty caterpillar! and he acts tough too by thrashing around and trying to nail you with his faux arse-horn.
as tasty as he looks we decided to forgoe the protein and allow him to continue on his way.

Hey Whole Foods... check this out!

Finally I got a photo that is worthy of the "YOU SEE THAT?!" blog.  After some mid-afternoon showers rolled through Atlanta and I got this.  Sure would be nice if the Whole Foods folks saw this and it meant something to them.  I can see the ad copy now... "At the end of the rainbow... you'll find us - Whole Foods" We could go on, but I won't.  In your comments I'd love to hear your ad copy.

Firemen have all the fun

I saw this curious scene near the 14/69 interchange about a month ago. They shot this giant stream of water into the air for about an hour! I'm guessing the truck laddder is at least 30 feet long so that makes the water over 100 feet high?
So in my imagination here is the conversation at the firehouse:
"I'm bored, whatcha wanna do today?"
"Iknow! How about we go waste thousands of gallons of water and see how high we can shoot our stream!?"
"Cool, let's go where everyone can see us do it so that chicks are impressed"

Not meant to gross you out, but...

I won the first medal of the Winter Olympics with the passage of this monster and his little friend.  My recommendation... do not try this at home!!!

this nativity scene is on main street Busco and we always get a kick out of it each year. you'll wanna zoom in to see all the wonderful details which include:

• 3 giant wise men who are double the size of joseph and mary
• everyone is tied to trees and stakes with bungie cords
• a rotweiler sitting beside the tiny little cow
• some sort of stone nymph hovering behind baby jesus

Police report unusually high numbers of traffic accidents on Illinois Rd....

I thought I would just get that out of the way for you AIC fans. Many have remarked that they would like to have a five foot tall iron rooster on their property. Some have even expressed a desire to steal said rooster. Is the rooster a giant scarecrow? Yet there are no crops. Is the rooster supposed to ward off evil spirits? Who knows. If you'd like to get a close up just drive down Sherman Street south of State Street and on the corner of Sherman and Putnam you will see the rooster in all his rusting glory!
