as part of our ongoing insect theme we found this bad boy in the yard. talk about a hefty caterpillar! and he acts tough too by thrashing around and trying to nail you with his faux arse-horn.
as tasty as he looks we decided to forgoe the protein and allow him to continue on his way.

According to wikipedia, they eat tomato plants..maybe he was on his way to ours! I guess next year I will need to plant marigolds around the plants according to wikipedia.
