Finally I got a photo that is worthy of the "YOU SEE THAT?!" blog. After some mid-afternoon showers rolled through Atlanta and I got this. Sure would be nice if the Whole Foods folks saw this and it meant something to them. I can see the ad copy now... "At the end of the rainbow... you'll find us - Whole Foods" We could go on, but I won't. In your comments I'd love to hear your ad copy.

Firemen have all the fun
I saw this curious scene near the 14/69 interchange about a month ago. They shot this giant stream of water into the air for about an hour! I'm guessing the truck laddder is at least 30 feet long so that makes the water over 100 feet high?
So in my imagination here is the conversation at the firehouse:
"I'm bored, whatcha wanna do today?"
"Iknow! How about we go waste thousands of gallons of water and see how high we can shoot our stream!?"
"Cool, let's go where everyone can see us do it so that chicks are impressed"

Not meant to gross you out, but...
I won the first medal of the Winter Olympics with the passage of this monster and his little friend. My recommendation... do not try this at home!!!
I repeat... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

Rich Pagan (a classic)
I really wanted to get a pic of a local funny church sign that is a classic but they have recently changed their sign so that the Pastor's name is gone.
Too bad too because his name is Rich Pagan!
How funny is that? You can read more about him at his church website:

Frankie & Holy Rollers
Hurry and post your pics before contest ends at midnight tonight!
After this you will no longer receive emails from the blog, but do please continue to post your pics and also comment.
I will be sending one more email to let you know when you can vote for a winner.
In the meantime, enjoy this pic and thought of the pope stopping by to hear Frankie and the Holy Rollers perform this evening while he wonders where all the power and dignity has gone.

church signs that make you go hmmm
Yep, their pastor is a woman named Barb.
...hmmmmm.

hmmmm.....
this one is just confusing!
it took me forever to figure it out while looking at the picture, so can you imagine trying to understand it while driving by?
oh well, it's not really worth reading anyway cause the 'poetry' is way lame in my opinion!

manger madness
this nativity scene is on main street Busco and we always get a kick out of it each year. you'll wanna zoom in to see all the wonderful details which include:
- 3 giant wise men who are double the size of joseph and mary
- everyone is tied to trees and stakes with bungie cords
- a rotweiler sitting beside the tiny little cow
- some sort of stone nymph hovering behind baby jesus
wow what a tribute to our King!
It can only be beat by the mother of all nativity scenes we saw in Ecuador!:

Return of the ta- tas
Because, honestly, they're much more worthy of saving than the rain forest, or the whales, or the ozone layer.
I <3 plus-size propaganda.

more funny ta-ta's
Now, I hate to stereotype, but this sign at our local Hooters was just too easy. But, I guess being a good speller is not the first requirement for working here. Maybe it was meant to spell "sinning" ?

umm... is this legal now?
These spaghetti strap tank tops can be found right up front at Torrid in the mall. In case you are not familiar with Torrid, let's just say that they specialize in scantily cladding girls with plenty of 'curves'. So, I guess that my man-theory has again been proved correct: they all secretly want you to look?
$10 to the first person who grabs a pic of a real person wearing one of these shirts and posts it here!

HWY 33 is a goldmine
All of these gems were all within a 10 mile stretch of Hwy 33 just north of Busco

Balloon!!!

Whilst out in service on September 2, we saw this cool hot air balloon. It was sooo low we could eventually see the people in it while we drove underneath. It was pretty cool!
